Pros

A capable and motivated person will be able to do meaningful work soon after being hired. It's not one of those companies where nothing can get done without filing 8 forms and waiting several months, but there is enough process in place to give structure where it's needed. Lots of smart and driven people to work with. Upper management seems to really care.

Cons

Opportunities for advancement seemed to depend a lot on who your manager is. The new contracts the company was winning seemed to be focused less toward software development and more towards business process improvement work, which to me is less interesting.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

To keep the best people, you need to make sure the company keeps getting challenging and interesting work. The best people tend to get bored quickly.
