I worked at Highland Capital full-time

    Pros

Great pay potential, fast-paced, strong benefits and perks. Nice new offices in Uptown Dallas. Some teams can be pretty fun, though not all.

    Cons

Long hours. Small company, so not much potential for career variety, especially upward advancement. Management plays favorites and can make your life miserable if you cross the wrong person. Management also shows little trust in employees in excessive tracking with timekeeper system and other means.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more opportunities for career development, treat your employees with respect.

I have been working at Highland Capital full-time

    Pros

    Young vibrant atmosphere
    Pay package
    Great perks; vacations and bonuses
Training is fulfilling and on target.
    Good opportunities for vertical advancement.

    Cons

Hours are very long. Zero social life. I would sometimes work 80 hours maximum. Getting time off was difficult.
