Pros

Hard work and integrity pays off at Hill-Rom. Do your job and you will be rewarded. Great products that I can support and stand behind.

Cons

Long hours. Being in a 24/7 hour business can be challenging at times. Customers can be extremely demanding. Make sure you love customer service to take this job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Salary adjustments based on FTEs and service geography. Some new managers being hired in at more than I make with being in the position for 6 years.

    Good benefits and vacation time

    Like any other large company, your just a number......management doesnt care as long the job gets done. Company has gone down since I first started, no bonuses, no raises, on call pay has gone down. Looking for the cheapest route with more work.

    At least to pretend to act like you care about your employees

    Pros

    Good benefits while you get to help patients and thier caregivers

    Cons

    The job will suck the life out of you. Micromanagers. Make you feel as if they do not trust you. They like to keep employees in the dark about future plans. Lead you to beleive they are doing things for one reason while the real reason is to get all of your contact informations so that they can get rid of you and provide the benefits of your hard work to some HS graduate at the corporate office to continue bringing in business from the relationships you formed.

    Trust your employees and don't treat them like they are nothing more than a number on a peice of paper. Stop lying to your loyal employees then throwing them out like the trash in your trash can.
