    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Hill's Pet Nutrition full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, nice equipment, paid uniforms

    Cons

MIcromanaged beyond belief. Company preaches safety but TLs and ACSMs punish those who do what they are supposed to be doing, which takes longer and contributes to the overtime quotient. TL favors certain employees and doesn't manage with respect. TL and ACSM seem to be immune to discipline if they act in an unprofessional manner. Now company pings trucks using gps every five minutes to see if you are speeding and puts you on the fast track out the door if you have 4 instances in a 3 month period. CSRs never get any positive feedback and only hear from TL when they've messed up.

    Advice to Management

Try going out on the road for a day and running a route efficiently while following the multitude of safety rules. New rules are destroying driver morale, especially the gps speed check. Let the drivers do their jobs and stand behind us for once instead of always coming up with a new witch hunt every year. Hold ACSM and TL accountable for their behavior. Show employees more respect and stop treating them like they are children. Employees nationwide shouldn't have to pay a penalty for a few "bad apples."

  2. Helpful (1)

Company has several double standards and doesn't enforce managing with respect principles if you are a member of mgmt.

    Pros

Time off and benefits are good.

    Cons

Company defends wrong doing by team leaders and makes excuses for their behaviors. Policy only enforced if you're a csr.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example and value employee contributions. There's a reason policy changes.
