I have been working at Hillstone Restaurant Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The money is great for the type of work.
Interaction with customers, which could lead to find the job/ career that better situates you.

    Cons

It is extremely exhausting job, mentally and physically. There are not breaks, therefore, if you want to have lunch you must eat in a rush in the back of the restaurant. Some managers could be nice and have respect towards the employees. However, if that is the case, those managers will not last in the same store for too long. The company's mentality is completely wrong. They believe that by threatening employes to get fired, and treating them as "inferior people" because they are waiters, the staff will perform better, WRONG!!! Most of the front of the house staff, are college graduates that unfortunately, due to the country's economic situation have no other option but to "serve" rude, unpleasant people that walk through the front doors of another "Corporate America's" restaurant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not treat your employees as dumb, nor disrespect them. They are the people that in reality "run" the restaurant, therefore, the company. I do understand that senior management get treated as nasty as the rest of the staff. Nonetheless, management gets paid six figures to deal with it.
