Pros

great travel opportunities, great benefits, great family environment

Cons

difficult to take time off, promotions only come was you move properties
pension plans are only available for union employees, nothing for management

Advice to ManagementAdvice

move every few years with promotions that come along

    I have been working at Hilton Worldwide full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    It's still a job so you get your paycheck.

    Cons

    incompetent higher management covers up unethical practices ( such as corporate bullying) of those who help them do their jobs and secure their positions.
    Good employees are discriminated and lazy employees are fully supported based on friendships

    Pros

    - Stable, globally recognized brands
    - Ambitious international growth strategy
    - Friendly people from diverse backgrounds
    - Young org with opportunity to define roles and find new ways of doing things

    Cons

    - There is no old way of doing things - the focus on redefining process and decision rights stifles creativity and strategic thinking in everyday work
    - Leadership fails to focus and communicate unified strategies causing everyone to work towards different objectives
    - Stressful environment where everyone seems overworked without results

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on most important projects and drive specific strategic and tactical direction down through the org. Ensure that your direct reports are cascading your vision appropriately. Scattered focus is creating unproductive overwork, burning out employees while failing to drive additional revenue. Customers and owners are starting to notice.
