I have been working at Hilton Worldwide

Pros

I've been employed with Hilton for over 6 years and I have lots of success. The benefits are good and the pay is satisfactory. (Everyone wants to get paid more) What I like best is the opportunity for growth. But the individual must be willing to do what is necessary to move up within the company.

Cons

The corporate office is now in VA and not California. In order to move up, you will need to move across the country.

    Pros

Benefits - Team member Travel was the best!

    Cons

Out Sourcing - This is the worst thing they can do for the country.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop outsourcing, get better managers at reservation level

    I worked at Hilton Worldwide

    Pros

Good place to work, good people, busy at times, slow at others, but that's the hotel life. Convention hotel, so mostly business travelers (both good and bad depending on convention).

    Cons

High turnover rates (again, common to hotels), some positions have supervisors/managers that are micro-managerial-ish, and always use threats and discipline to gain compliance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to hire good managers and candidates who are interested in doing their jobs. Bonus points for not hiring dictator like managers.
