Hitachi Consulting – “bleh”

Pros

there are a lot of nice people
some clients are actually pretty interesting
a fun no holds barred drinking culture

Cons

pay pay pay. The pay is sub-average. The expectation is that you are a mile ahead of the clients, but you should be paid less than the same people you work w/ at the client site. Last time i checked, i'm the one traveling, taking all the abuse, and the one that represents the knowledge. I should be paid more than the client people that work for me. Promotions are a joke. If you know the right people it's all good, if you are a head's down, hard worker w/ a family, you may be in for a surprise.

Advice to Senior Management

you make tons of speaches about retaining top talent, but let it slip through your fingers. Turns out we aren't grateful we just have a job, if we are in fact top talent, we can go anywhere we want. (just a suggestion)
