Former Employee - Manager, Specialized Services in Hyderābād (India)

I worked at Hitachi Consulting full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Technical Growth: Good opportunities to perform and prove ones abilities.
Managerial Skills: Good place for improving in this area.
Career Growth: If you are smart and has the ability to fight and prove yourself you can grow. Having the nature to afraid, you will be dead.

    Cons

Process wise: Processes will be on paper and some of them are not there at all.
Career Growth: After 2-3 years you will be in the same place as you joined. Reason, your reporting manager doesn't move on so you will not move on or he will not let you move on.
Technical Growth: You will be asked to learn, but will not be guided or provided with Softwares / tools / Training required.
Professional Maturity: This will be there difinitely as there are lot of politics so i guess this is a Pro not Con.
Salary: Fight and Yell nothing happens, reason no revenue so no appraisal. Your project might be getting revenue but others are not.
Manageral skills: Good place for this, you will be matured as a manager once you come out after looking at so many things happening with you and around you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I don't think i can give advices, so will ask few questions.
Is onsite / offshore delivery happening, in my view no. Then what's the use of Sierra Atlantic acquisition?
After Acquisition did reviews happened with GDC Hyderabad to collect feedback and improve in areas where GDC failed?
Why did many top level Senior Management and Sales people leave the company in the first 1 year after acquisition?
Is there a valid reason to reorganize the structure very often? And during this process don't we analyze how it's going to impact everyone down the line?

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
