I worked at Hollister Co.

Pros

There was a lot of room for growth within the company due to always promoting people from within and ensuring fairness in promotions.

Cons

The only bad part is that when you start on the bottom it does sometimes take a while to move through the company but it does happen eventually.

    I worked at Hollister Co.

    Pros

it is a great place to get retail experience and working on registers and you even learn how to fold your own clothes better.

    Cons

only 4 hour shifts for part time employees. this makes it difficult to schedule and often times this store hired over 100 employees and had then work in 4 hour shifts and some times employees would get no hours at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If people are available for more than four hours a day, give them more hours in their shift. Also, it would help if the managers would be nicer and not seem like they are better than anyone else but rather be the leaders that the employees are supposed to look up to and get encouragement from.

This is not a job but a place to hang out and get paid to do so.

I have been working at Hollister Co.

    Pros

After establishing yourself its possible to work 30 hours a week just takes some time to build your repport. A lot of the time the people you work with can become your good friends. It is not hard to get a job here if you are persistent. This company is simply looking for new faces eventually yours will be it.

    Cons

The pay sucks but its because you don't really have to do anything for it. There is no chance to make more intill you get a degree and become a manager, raises are not talked about. Call ins can be a burden but they are doable if your a responsible person and dont plan activities when you are scheduled for one. So managers are hardly qualified, and it can be quite challenging to work with them, but its best to be understanding. They too are new to being a manager, and are most likely just getting out of college. Work with them good or bad and life will be easy at work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your employees. Work with them. Solicit for their ideas and suggestions. They will work ten times harder for you if you do just that and in turn you will look good in the eyes of the company.
