Pros

I can't imagine being a part of a more professional and caring group of people. I've owned the Raleigh/Cary/Apex, NC territory of Home Instead Senior Care and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. We are passionate about caring for, and offering hope to the seniors in Raleigh and Wake County.

Cons

Sometimes the emotional attachment we form with our clients is tough to break when they pass away or leave us because their conditions have improved.

Keep up the good work.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule if you play by management's rules

    Cons

    Management encouraged open lying to clients and clients families by caregivers, mainly about where a caregiver was from or how long they had worked for the company, or to downplay events or situations that a client may find distressing
    Management played favorites with regards to scheduling caregivers for client care, if they didn't like you you weren't getting hours
    If you were unavailable for a shift on short notice they would call you back with a story (i.e. client was given advance notice by another caregiver, as was the office and they failed to find adequate coverage then lied about why the shift needed covering) about why they needed you to cover

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying to your employees and stop telling them to lie to clients and stop charging your employees for the training you deem necessary to do their job
