I have been working at Honeywell

Pros

the people i worked with was the best part!!!! and the only part!!!!!

Cons

Management could care less about you or your family...good people on the floor, terrible managers and everyone on the floor knows dave cote hates the union and wants it out..He would like to pay employees 9-10 dollars an hour and rape them on thier insurance, metropalias plant confims this statement.. the division itself sell over 300 million in sales and the pay is only 16 dollars and they shove down your throat about how you should be thankful for your job..Don't have a death in the immediate family either, cheap company could'nt even send a card or flowers...the employees thier know more than mangement proven fact,if not for the employees the division would crumble...management is trained to hate the union point blank....i will only miss the people on the floor.....

Advice to ManagementAdvice

PULL YOUR HEAD OUT O F DAVE COTE _ _ _ and treat people like humans, Cause when the time comes and it is your job being taken away you'll realize how cold this company is, the employees thier are running that company as far as knowing the product and how to make it.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

Pay scale is acceptable. Healthcare coverage is acceptable (but not above average).

    Cons

Management is not progressive thinking or family friendly. Health insurance costs are above average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that if possible, employees need to be given the option to work remote. This is the 21st century.

Decisions need to be pro-active rather than reactive. This philosophy needs to extend throughout the company operations, not just upper management.

Upper management needs to reward and recognize all who go above and beyond.

    I worked at Honeywell

    Pros

Good compensation. Room to expand within the company. There is plenty of opportunity for travel if you are so inclined to do so.

    Cons

Lots of travel. Senior level engineers seem to withhold information as a type of job security. Upper management has not a clue of the life of the peasants. As with any other defense/aerospace contractor, politics rule the world. The simplest project should have taken 6 months but was scheduled and budgeted for 2 years. Just ridiculous. This place made me an angry taxpayer.
