I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

One gets to work on top notch military aircraft programs when they are available. There are a lot of support people on programs to help with test, configuration management and process operations.

    Cons

There are a lot of processes and procedures to follow to develop and release a product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management is on a profit kick where they add profit to each phase of development and manufacturing so that new products are too expensive to win bids or make products.

    I worked at Honeywell

    Pros

    Great people to work with
    Excellent training/educational support
    Good Pay, Excellent Benefits
Good exposure to new products and technologies.
    Well respected company.

    Cons

Profit margins on jobs are too large, makes it had for the local branch to compete against independent contractors selling the same product.
Uses touchy feely goals in performance reviews

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make local sales branches independent entities so they can compete using lower profit margins. Re-institute profit sharing bonuses to allow employees to benefit from good company performance..
