Pros

great training program, good benefits, good reputation in the marketplace. solid financial performance despite the recession. solid processes and tools.

Cons

Way too many managers, not enough doers. Far too much administrivia (let's have a call to prepare for the call in which we'll discuss our preparation for a meeting.)

Advice to Management

Stop encumbering your folks down with multiple calls and meetings that are really just management updates. Managers should get out in the field and then they will know what is going on.

    Pros

Well respected company among its peers. Community minded organization, reputable products, well known in the industry and markets selected to compete in. Performed well during the last three years of the recession and beginning of the economic recovery. Diverse markets insulate against down times.

    Cons

Health benefits have been pushed more to the worker over the past three years with little or no increase in pay to offset financial impact on employee. Honeywell has lost a lot of experienced and seasoned workers the last few years, those years of experience are missed. Focus on bottom line performance has forced move of many product lines off-shore resulting in loss of USA jobs, drop in quality and delivery. Global location of functional roles makes efficient and timely communication and responses difficult.

    Advice to Management

Honeywell performance over last three years, warrants the re-instituion of the 401K match that was decreased at the start of the recession. Less focus on bottom line, more focus on customer.
