I have been working at Honeywell full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Enormous scale operations with great training opportunities.

Cons

Terrible health plans, terrible retirement, low comparable salaries, no pension at all, several managers that do not have a clue what is going on...

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Providing incentive to retain talent would increase plant yields and production numbers more so than any other capital improvements dollar for dollar.

I worked at Honeywell full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Long term government contracts, nice ergonomic chairs & keyboards/mouse provided to employees

    Cons

HTSI is actively seeking sole-source contracts & trying to get rid of all subcontractors that helped them get where they are. As a Honeywell employee, I was appalled by how horrible managers treated sub-contractors on our same team. People would be laid off then brought back as HTSI employees with less benefits. Facility in Colorado Springs has no real break room or cafeteria - just a small counter to get so-so food. Internet access is blocked even to things like Google Calendar. Daily safety briefs are a joke. Certain contracts require workers to work 2 hrs "green time" (unpaid) per week (even if extra work is not required).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. They ask employees for suggestions (even require a certain # be turned in for performance evaluation) but rarely fixes anything. Treat everyone with respect!
