    Pros

Technology and the product (Experion PKS) one of the best DCS around. Great exposure for a technical minded person. Good work culture. HPS has some of the best DCS engineers with them, a lot can be learned working with those folk.

    Cons

Junior Engineers are not cared for. Will be put in projects and roles without a plan or purpose of career growth and individual's interest. Very meager raises and performance benefits (hardly 2% per year)

Great place to be a contractor, not so much for full time employment

    Pros

    - A really good environment for contracting- good pay, and you don't have to deal with the politics and bureaucracy that come with full time employment

    Cons

    - You don't get to keep current in skills- Ada and C are used heavily, as well as an ancient source control and documentation system developed in-house.
    - Poor planning at the management level, resulting in sporadic death marches before a delivery. I pulled more all nighters working here than I did in college.
-Very few career opportunities as a full time employee- not unusual for people to stay in the same project/position for 15+ years

    Advice to Management

-Get a better handle on costs and scheduling so you don't run employees into the ground
-Let go of out dated tools- there are better/faster/cheaper ways to do things than what was used in 1989!
