Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Honeywell full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Flexibility, established process, big enough to move into different roles to reduce boredom, internal opportunity to learn. Technical path exists parallel to management for those who want to pursue their area of expertise instead of management.

Cons

merit raises are routinely cancelled due to economic conditions or partial furloughs implemented. Morale fluxuates within different departments. Benefits reduced year to year.

Advice to Management

Hire for talent. Hire for innovation. Spend time with the individuals who show the most promise. Be consistent. Reduce the overhead; too many processes.

I have been working at Honeywell full-time

    Pros

    Benefits and salary are competitive.

    Cons

Senior leadership is harden and has created an extremely stressful environment- especially in Marketing. Ruling by an iron hand seems to be management style. It really became evident with the change in management within a year. The culture now is one of low morale because the atmosphere is full of fear and bullying. ACS did well and raises still was not awarded but bounces still made it.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should find a way to positively motivate employees. Learn to create an environment where employees are not feeling threaten but can feel empowered to get a job done. The intrusion division needs leadership not bullies.
