I have been working at Honeywell for more than 3 years

Pros

Stable Interesting products. Their products will continue for ever. Some of the technology is very interesting and challenging

Cons

Be careful of management. There are some good mangers, but many are poor and will take advantage of you. When better software development approaches are presented to management, they are ignored. Management is not interested in improving efficiency. Too much manual work that .could be automated Very ingrown culture

    I have been working at Honeywell full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    You can work a lot of Overtime, to makeup for how much you get paid an hour.

    Cons

    Not enough skilled workers , work there anymore , and real hard to keep up with the revolving door of applicants, You train them and then they leave to go to Boeing

    I worked at Honeywell as a contractor

    Pros

    Lean outfit which uses 6 Sigma techniques as daily activities, unlike those still learning how to.

    Cons

    Not enough resources to get the right job done on time & as the caliber/quality which is desired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Forecast future business investment activities better & get all levels in Product Development involved instead of stovepipe teams. Stop upper management from acting like elitists.
