Pros

A great place to learn about your profession. Coworkers were extremely friendly and willing point me in the right direction if issues with the given task ever arose. While working, you are also given the chance to interact with people from a multitude of disciplines and departments. Therefore, I think this is a great and dynamic environment to work in.

Cons

None really. Perhaps document processing was a little slow at times.

    Pros

Huge opportunity to work with many different technologies in your field, especially as a newly-hired employee with ambition. Wonderful pool of technically knowledgeable people, most of them willing to drop what they are doing to help you over a rough spot.

    Cons

Local HR appears to be mainly concerned with enforcing corporate policy, mostly with regard to hiring and firing. All other HR questions are referred to international Service & Support. Technical competence is not sufficient. Embodying the 12 Honeywell Behaviors is becoming as important as being good technically.

    Advice to Management

Develop from within instead of hiring to fill a specific slot. Value existing employees at least as much as you value the hotshot you just hired.
