I worked at Honeywell

Pros

Honeywell was very established with the goals and objectives they'd strive to achieve. A very structured organization along with excellent benefits.

Cons

The downside while working for Honeywell was the ongoing operational changes which lead to morale issues and lack of confidence held by the production workers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

As stated, the overall goals and objectives were clearly defined from a corporate standpoint. The advice I'd give would be to research or determine whether or not those objectives are achievable within every business unit.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

Good job for the location. Good pay for the area.

    Cons

Much of the hgher level management knows little about the army equipment that is taken in. They have little experience on what is required to conduct proper management of the property. Much of the management have little experience in actually managing people or how to even give precise exact instruction on how to conduct many of the tasks that are required. Vague, unclear guidance only leads to eventual confusion on concurrent ongoing tasks which many times leads to a high level of frustration and poor execution. General directives on how to manage the property from higher are commonly shot down once the nature of the equipment in discussion is explained or the conflicting nature of the directive with the long established standard op;erating procedure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually hire people that have a proven leadership track record. An overwhelming majority of people that I we work for are prior military but the same majority have little to no leadership experience. Many of the problems would never be an issue of quality leaders were hired. Quality leaders are proactive and become knowledgeable on their own on how to improve their positions and how to make the workplace function better and more proficiently. They do not do "just enough to get by" or suppress bad news just to have an even worse situation fester.
