Many avenues for personal growth, salary is decent, work life balance is good. Hard work and competence is rewarded, you get to work with other good people.

Cons

Huge bureaucracy, hinders tactical performance of company, automating key services like HR and IT help desk is a night mare. Office space and equipment could be better

Advice to Management

Pay more attention to how systems like SAP are being used, while we are a world class company, our business process discipline has much room for improvement, do a better job of communicating how pay structure and vacation progress as you progress at Honeywell

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Aerospace software engineering is your passion. You like being pulled in 20 directions at once because that's the only way to ensure your job won't be outsourced.

    Cons

Difficult to get up to speed on projects. All knowledge is 'tribal' based. Documentation and cooperation is poor even though they try to cram Six Sigma down your throat. Many bottlenecks in process as critcal employees take on more responsibility than they can handle in an effort to obtain job security. C-level management comes up with directives that everyone knows are doomed; so departments scramble in an awkward corporate game of 'hot potato' to see who the blame will fall on when things blow up.

    Advice to Management

Cut down on middle management. Come up with a legitimate 7 year business plan. Quit accepting contracts to support obsolete or antiquated systems that don't end up profitting the company. Quit coming up with plans designed to line your pockets and placate stockholders that do nothing for the company's bottom line or long term prospects.
