Pros

Diversified organization enables many job-growth opportunities for advancement. Honeywell offers leadership and personal development courses to all employees. I find the opportunities to be product specfic or product wide knowledge always challenging to my career-path. Innovation attempts are paramount to success.

Cons

Diversified organizations or global companies are to slow to respond to emerging technologies in their space.
New techologies are slow in the pipe line to emerge to the marketplace. Honeywell does however place great importance on new product development. The challenge to keep new porducts portfollio constantly updated and new products to the marketplace . Consumers or B2B want innovation in a timely fashion

Advice to Management

Communicate their vison statements clearly from the top -down

    Pros

Great benefits and respect from supervisors makes the employment opportunity worthwhile. On numerous projects I have worked on, the group setting has really contributed to the open and free exchange of ideas across talent and skill sets and has resulted in superior outcomes for both ourselves and the company. The organization encourages team cooperation as well as personal accomplishment and should be commended for doing so. However, they are also careful to measure the contributions of each individual and are open and thoughtful in terms of talent evaluation.

    Cons

Long hours and occasional snotty coworkers/disrespect from upper level management. Assignments can be tedious at times.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to pay attention to employee needs and take their opinion into account more often.

Long hours, bad management, and incompetent leadership are the norm.
Layoffs every few years. Not a stable company.
