    Pros

Caring for the pts and their families, doing funerals. bereavement.

    Cons

I had to see up0 to 80 pts in the entire county plus drive time, meetings and assessments all in a 40 hour week. They did not like it when I contributed spiritual matters to IDT as they cared less. When I was worked so hard, I coulldn't see straight and became ill, it was "my fault" because of above and they wanted me to "retire". My pts and families were horrifyed...that is when I saw them here and there. I had worked for another hospice in Ohio where none of this happened....my clinical manager quit, others did to, and the lunatics were left running the asylum (none of whom had any idea that spiiritual care meant anything. I have been in bed for months trying to recover.

    Advice to Management

There is NO management who knows anything. CEO quit, board will not hire a new one. Reputation was excellent and now it is shot because of emphasis on numberrs, not people. Pts as well as staff.
