I have been working at Hospira full-time (less than a year)

Pros

I have never worked with a more dedicated group of senior leaders who get it, know what has to happen, and are committed to drive positive change.

Cons

There are some rough times ahead as the company fixes problems laid down by leaders of the
past several yars.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay the course and rely on your team, they really do know what they are doing. Especially Quality, Medical, and Regulatory.

I worked at Hospira as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of projects to address FDA Warning Letter

    Cons

Any constructive advice is taken personally and will get you fired, old school still rules and just waiting for the consultants to leave, new lab expansion is just window dressing, do not look underneath!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Commit to compliance and not profit

    Pros

There aren't any. If you are below a department manager in one of their manufacturing facilities you are considered less than dirt.

    Cons

I have never in my life been treated as poorly as I was treated at this company. I used to be bullied in middle school, that was far more pleasant than working for Hospira.

I'll quote management's response to employees expressing concern about morale. "So What! There are plenty of people looking for work."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offering advice to management at the North Carolina sites is enough to get you fired.
