Pros

The owners are onsite and ready to listen. They are very collabrative and open to new ideas, suggestions, or complaints. They are very ethical and just good people.

Cons

Pay is below scale, but I personally think the pros outweigh this one con by a large measure.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider being more competitive in your pay practices.

    Pros

Can't say enough about Edgar and Larry. They are kind, Christian people that really care about the business and their people. Overall good people in the home office that have been their a million years. They are picking up new concepts quickly.

    Cons

Corporate office is in a built out warehouse. Frequent problems with bugs and rats which would be expected as constant management in this type of environment. They do their best to keep them at bay. To work there, you've got to be ok with working in not-so-nice conditions and you really can't have a meeting their without embarrassment. Older upper management is very resistant to change, extremely conservative despite the fact that they run pubs that are supposed to attract young people. If you are a status quo person, this may work for you. The area directors do not align with upper management but know better than to question authority. Even the simplest store level decision must go through the highest level of management for approval. They find it oppressive to not be allowed to make simple decisions that store level managers in other concepts wouldn't think twice about.

    Pros

The staff is wonderful and so is middle management.

    Cons

No one seems to share the same vision. This results in everyone being pulled in different directions then being judged by different ideals. There is no cohesive plan or way to address anything within the company, lots of smoke and mirrors/misdirection used.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respecting those that are working 60 hours a week for you is imperative. Telling your management that they do good when they do is something that should have been learned log before you reached the upper branches. Treating us like your slaves and never giving us words of encouragement will always keep you understaffed and your current staff unhappy.
