Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt full-time for less than a year

Pros – Good people to work with; we are moving towards the future with digital products, consulting, and education; it feels like we are finally getting where we need to be in order to keep up with our competitors

Cons – we are going through a major reorganization and the communication hasn't been overly clear for parts of the organization. Some of us know what's going on and others have no clue. There are a lot of side coversations and murmerings. There are reps out in the field that are overly territorial and refuse to work with consultants and other sales people.

Advice to Senior Management – Have a more open door policy and share information at the same time with all employees to make sure that things are clear.
