Pros

Benefits are GREAT Pay is ok

Cons

Management is unethical, uneducated and refuses to follow ICARE guidelines. TMHPO is not a family oriented division of TMHS. RUN from CV Surgery and Cardiology. (Mgmt changed 4x's within 5 yrs)

Advice to Management

Treat all employees fairly and learn your staff job duties. Hire Management who knows the business and care about their staff well-being.

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement, assistance funding education, lots of support

    Cons

staffing is not always great, pressure on nurses as patient satisfaction seems to be the most important thing to Methodist

    Pros

If you're a physician, nurse, or allied healthcare, then it's great. Decent benefits, flexible working hours.

    Cons

If you're in a corporate level (non-management) position, you're screwed. Expect to be paid fairly or even receive a cost of living increase - fagitaboutit.

    Advice to Management

Houston Methodist continues to lose people to other facilities mostly because of it's pay structure and refusal to even provide a cost of living increase. Methodist may be "leading medicine", but that's it. They're really not a "best place to work"
