Pros

You will definitely leave with more knowledge than you came with, because you will probably be forced to perform more than one job role, with no prior training.

Cons

Sub average IT salaries, young inexperienced managers, socialization critical for advancement opportunities, high turnover rate.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop acting like the workplace is a 6th grade playground, where the biggest bully wins.

    Excellent brand name as far as hospitals go
    Excellent culture when it comes to patient care
    Excellent health care benefits
    Great opportunity to obtain functional and technical experience on a wide spectrum of PeopleSoft modules

    Cons

    Unrealistic deadlines
    Unrealistic expectations (long hours)
    Major milestone dates were regularly postponed
    Working with offshore team
    Office for IT team is not on main campus
    Compensation could be better

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Set realistic timelines
    Set better expectations with PMO/Executives for timelines and resources needed
    Mentor employees and encourage cross-team collaboration
    Get rid of dead weight on the project
