I worked at Huawei Technologies as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

Lots of freedom that each group has. The cafeteria is also very good with lots of authentic Chinese food, I would definitely work there again.

Cons

A majority of the employees are native Chinese speakers. The language and culture barrier is a little bit of an obstacle when working with others.

I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible culture, you can choose your project and work on it all by yourself and report. More exposure to latest trends in the industry. If you enjoy challenges then that is the right place to work for.

    Cons

Corporate culture is Chinese and if you are not acquainted with it before, you might experience some difficulties adapting to it. Meetings can be held anytime, even on weekends if there is an urgency. Bonuses are based on department wide competition. If you dont have mandarin skills or unwilling to learn, then this is not the job for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let people work on individual projects and let them have the resources they need. Investing more in people is the progress of the company.
