I worked at Hubbell Power Systems full-time for less than a year

Pros

There is a lot of growth so there are many opportunities for advancement for people who are willing to put in the work.

Cons

This is a VERY lean company so be prepared to work extra hours. I didn't find that there was a strong work life balance. This could be a good opportunity for somebody who considers work their first priority and does not mind putting in long hours. There is high turnover at the location I worked at.

I worked at Hubbell Power Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good work-life balance and opportunity to learn by execution. Also they will allow managers to do their jobs with little micro-management.

    Cons

Poor Management teams with little support to the mid-level managers. Pay/Benefits are also below average and there is high turn-over on both the hourly and salary sides.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to what all your managers are telling you, not just a few. If you have weaker links, pay attention to those folks, because they can corrode your good associates. Try to bring up benefits and curve your high turnover.

I have been working at Hubbell Power Systems full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

its a job. they do give small raises, and charge more for benefits each year

    Cons

continual overtime due to managment inabilities, lack of concern for employees, inept supervision

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

take a close look at your subsidaries and see if they are being managed as wisely as they ought to be. Yes, they might make the numbers, but they could be done cheaper and smarter. Practice what you preach! If your employees are your asset treat them as such.
