I have been working at Hubspot full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

- smartest team you will ever work with, also lots of very funny people
- culture driven by metrics, goals and results in a collaborative, but hard charging atmosphere
- "demanding, but flexible" culture: it is hard work to hit your goals and perform, but the unlimited vacation is also real and no one hassles you about where you work, when you work, or how you work if you are delivering results

Cons

- not a place to work 35 hours and coast by
- entrepreneurial culture can feel disorganized and misaligned at times
- constant change can be frustrating
(If you cannot deal with these things, go work at a huge boring company. These cons come with the territory in a fast paced growth company.)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think more about how to balance what you want the culture to be with the executional realities of a 600 person global company. The anything goes entrepreneurial culture might need to be reigned in a bit as it starts to slow us down when we have people doing things without coordinating or even informing the rest of the company about what they are doing.

I have been working at Hubspot full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility, always learning new things, options to move around and meet new people, working with the best of the best, unmatched culture and pretty good benefits. If you work with people you enjoy, it barely feels like working.

    Cons

Salary is not as competitive as comparable companies, you have to choose to have work / life balance, it isn't necessarily promoted, departments aren't as interconnected as they should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay competitive to keep the best people at HubSpot. Right now, the culture & benefits make us not want to leave, but keep up with the rest.
