Hudson's Bay – “The Bay: not such a great place to work”

Pros

For the most part, the Bay is still seen as a pretty respectable place to work. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly co-workers and customers.

Cons

Employees are not informed of major organizational changes within the organization. Co-workers often complain about being "left in the dark". System still runs mainly on seniority rather than job performace. Most people are promoted because they have been there for so long, which leads to some pretty ineffective management. No real incentive for improving work quality.

Advice to Senior Management

Management needs to start paying attention to their "lowly" sales staff. We make up the majority of the company but are given no voice or outlet for opinions. Some of us have been with the company for 20 years and still get zero respect from you!
