Pros

The staff are great to work with. Leadership lacks answers to question and direction for success.

Cons

Leadership is horrible. They have poor communication skills. They set goals for staff and don't provide direction on how to reach them. It is a very tense working environment and the turn over is high as a result. No respect is shown to staff.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat staff with more respect. They determine the success of the region.

I have been working at Humana

    Pros

People are friendly and helpful. Associates in all offices seemed to always be willing to help. Downtown Louisville facilities are state of the art. Lots of corporate discounts.

    Cons

Associates are not appreciated or recognized all the time. Front line managers are poor leaders, and like to micromanage. Poor health care benefits offered to associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provider more training and support to front line leadership. Offer more incentives. Do a better job developing associates. Promote competent leaders that challenge their leaders and are just not "yes, sir" types.
