I have been working at Humana full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Really into Associate engagement, work life balance, wellness, etc. Great company!

    Cons

Be prepared to speak "business-ease" words like "business acumen" and "collaboration" etc. I am so ready for businesses to just speak normal!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know the people who work under you. I have only met my bosses boss ONE TIME. I dont' think he would know me if I bumped into him on the street.

I worked at Humana full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Humana cares about well-being -- both for their employees and their customers. The compensation at Humana is competitive for the area. Humana has a great 401(k) package -- they match 125% of your contributions up to 6% of your salary.

    Cons

As a Fortune 500 corporation, the activities within the organization are clearly defined and all but set in stone. This is necessary for efficiency and productivity, but it is alienating to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You could do better at identifying valuable employees. You should always be honest with your employees -- don't promise things that won't happen, don't say things are one way when they're really another.
