I have been working at Humanscale

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work here is it's very flexible when it comes to work and your personal life and you don't have management looking over your back. It's a very laid back enviornment with a lot of independence.

Cons

The downsides are that there is no room for growth or opportunity to move up; and the benefits are very expensive.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some advice to management would be to try and create some room for growth within the company.

    I have been working at Humanscale full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great Training program, great coworkers, and the product is next to none. The culture supports success and your product is always one of the best, if not the best. Design as well as performance is key to product development, thus creating a product that is easy and a pleasure to sell. Humanscale is always at the forefront of ergonomic excellence, and the products being developed and produced will keep them situated at the top for years to come.

    Cons

    Sometimes we release products a bit prematurely without being able to actually go to market at the time described during the release. Although every manufacturer has issues, and if that is the worst problem, then you are at a great place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Support to dealer partners is pinnacle to the success of future sales. Develop your current sales people to become sales managers and product managers so that the future of the company has depth and experience.

    Pros

    Day-in-day out opportunity for self direction and the ability to determine your own destiny. The managers really take the time to guide you through the nuisances of the job to ensure your longer term success and that you understand what direction you want to go in for career and compensation growth. The company invests a lot of resources into your development and growth. In the industry - the outside sales reps are considered some of the best & most well trained sales reps.

    Cons

    Challenging industry dynamics as it relates to the go-to-market strategy for the company, need for being very good at effective time management due to multiple tasks and/or responsibilities at any given time.

    Continue to invest & commit resources to the development of internal talent and continue to streamline career trajectories and make it easier to understand career growth opportunities.
