I have been working at Huron Consulting Group

Pros

Good people, everyone was smart and polite to me. The work was interesting and I did enjoy some of my time there.

Cons

I was overworked despite being told to work 40 hours and only paid for 40 I was given enough work to last 60+ a week. I left the internship feeling very unappreciated for the work I did. Do not be an intern in any location other then Chicago as they only care about those interns.

I worked at Huron Consulting Group

    Pros

+Majority of people (not all) are intelligent and good to work with
+Exposure to various industries and rules/regs
    +Good IT support
    +Good benefits

    Cons

-Culture can vary widely between practices - from frat house to hipsters. Usually more frat than hip.
-Management competency varies widely at senior levels
-Too much emphasis on facetime with client, resulting in significant work travel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Establish open 2-way feedback channels between managers and non-managers.
Offer more training opportunities. Expensing a book on programming doesn't count as training.
