Pros

Work can be interesting; opportunities for travel when staffed on projects; generous PTO policy when unstaffed; younger culture

Cons

Layoffs and downsizing; fewer chances for junior employees to get involved in higher level deals; a lot of pitches and marketing that generated few wins; too many Managing Directors that failed to sell work (top heavy)

Advice to Management

Get junior people involved in work that is not just pitchbooks and data entry; keep everyone informed about the reality of the pipeline and new deals

    Pros

I enjoy working on different engagements. Your responsibilities change on a weekly and/or monthly basis which allows you to develop a large range of skills.

    Cons

This can be seen as a positive for some, but some engagements require extensive travel. For someone who is married with kids, this could be tough.

    Advice to Management

Their are incredibly bright and good at what they do but many people are spread to thin. Managing Directors need to stop micro managing every project and begin to have faith in the project managers they have hired to run/manage projects.
