I worked at Hyatt full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Great learning experience, and can actually be a fun place to work

Cons

Usually, there is no management for the second. There can be a lot of complaints for various reasons and management isn't always there to deal with it resulting in you dealing with all the problems.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have some sort of management to supervise second shift.

I worked at Hyatt full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

In the Engineering Department you get to pretty much make your on schedule. The required task are pretty simple and routine. The Hyatt brand tries to target to upper class traveler.

    Cons

Priceline and the like are probably not going anywhere and some of these travelers will destroy a hotel. Dealing with rude rich people that think they are better than everyone else.
Pay is not comparable to work load.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come out of your office once and awhile and speak to your guest and employees

I have been working at Hyatt full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Easy work, not hard to learn the system

    Cons

New, and everyone is still trying to establish themselves

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New company has taken over this specific Hyatt, so once teams are established that will be permanent, then the employees will feel more secure.
