I have been working at Hydro-Québec
Pros – Other employees are kind. The atmosphere is great.
I used google translate. Sorry !
Working time is 35 hours per week. There is much latitude in carrying out the work vs. family life. You win 10 additional sick days per year. So do not worry later pay in case of accident. On a 6 day sick child family. It can take care of our families. It has good facilities and the working atmosphere is calm. Some environments are more demanding than others but is encouraged and congratulated those who do good work. I'm glad to be here.
Cons – There is a lot of procedure which limit liberty in job accomplishment.
It's a big box with many people and many procedures sometimes frustrating. The risk does not much encouraged, but the 'originality' s however. It is very French as Canadian environment. Better learn to speak French or it must be difficult to be understood by his colleagues. It may happen that we 'bored because it is nothing to do but sometimes it is crazy and everybody puts you in pressure. But it must be like this everywhere!
Advice to Senior Management – take risk and reward it.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
