    Pros

Very flexible and relies on honor system when it comes to interns. It is quite easy once you get used to what you do. Great way to experience the corporate culture and how they operate. Also makes it easier to fit in if you choose to become a regular hire in the future.

    Cons

Sometimes lack of management on interns, you might feel a bit lost or under utilized if you don't have other side projects on hand. This can also be a plus since you can explore projects to work on yourself.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps some arrangements with interns to set up goals.
