I have been working at IBM full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great job if you like to work from home. It's flexible as long as you do your work and get everything in on time. Nice benefits (health insurance, 401K, etc.)

Cons

Pay increase is very minimal each year (if any). IBM is such a large company that it takes forever to get things done sometimes - it's a process on top of another process... Very frustrating.

Same old technology that is being used for 20 years now

  2.

Mix of energetic young people with new ideas and older conservative not as fast at adopting new ideas employees.

I have been working at IBM as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great work-life balance if you make it a priority. There are pockets of very bright and energetic people who like to learn and try new cutting edge ideas.

    Cons

Low pay. There will always be more work so if you don't make it a priority you will work a lot more than you intend to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay. Don't be scared of the new upcoming trends (eg. social media). Understanding how people truly work doesn't stop at B2C but is relevant at B2B as well.
