Current Employee – been working at IBM
Pros – Work with Fortune 500 Companies
Working relationships with high level management
Get experience with large and small teams
When not on the client site, not required to work from office
Build extensive network and contact list
Deal with a wide range of business issues
Cons – Excess Travel and low work/life balance
Little to no comradery with other consultants in practice
Tend to get treated as a number in the vast employment pool
Quick turnover and burnout
Can get pigeon-holed into particular tasks if "too good" of job is done
Other typical complaints regarding large companies
Advice to Senior Management – With so many consultants in so many US cities it should be easier to place consultants on projects in their home town
