I worked at IBM as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Very strong culture; people really help each other out as "IBMers" in lots of ways both small and large -- and people are proud of how they interact; amazingly vast set of resources company brings to bear.

    Cons

It's an enormous place. Need to feel comfortable as one part of an enormous organism, and that can be overwhelming, especially as you begin. At the corporate campus in Armonk, the sheer physical size of the place can make it easy to feel like your own contribution doesn't really amount to much, so it's important to find a way through that.
