Pros

Interesting people, respect, trust, can be very flexible when requested, good benefits, if you don't like what you're working on - just move on to another project. Some learning - but not in ways you might have expected. Helps build a good reputation. I like it. Best company I've ever worked for (and I've worked for MANY).

Cons

Politics. Many long meetings. Meetings about meetings. At times a lot of pressure/stress (but hey, what company doesn't have this).

Advice to Senior Management

Lighten up, especially on the meetings. Open your minds to alternative ideas and don't disregard something because its not using your favourite code/technology. Need to evolve faster, and stop being held back by older technologies (code) and systems. Just because something has not been done a in a certain way before (within IBM), does not mean its not the right way (or a better way). Not enough time to "innovate" (create new things). We need more than 1 hack day a year - should be at least one a month (for the people with ideas they want to try).
