Cons
Salaries do not seem to be decided based as much on how skilled the person as how well the person negotiates. Seems like it takes ages to get promoted from one Band to another, if working on long-term projects.
Advice to Senior Management
Promotions, salaries and other incentives should be truly performance based rather than just band based. One metric could be the amount of revenue generated through a person for the year as against the actual band of that person for that year.
