I worked at IBM full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Values and basic beliefs, large enterprise client base, breadth of offerings, excellent customer support, quality of its people, consistent financial results, industry competitive benefits plan.

Cons

Slow to move at times, multiple layers of management, some offerings are not easy to use and deploy and have a long time to value in mid-sized and small companies.

I have been working at IBM as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Project is very challenging and exciting. And people here give me a lot of advice and help to start up. Get opportunity to meet people from different fields.

    Cons

The lunch at workplace needs to be improved. Both quality and price doesn't match the name of this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decrease the number of levels between the CEO and the engineer. Do we really need more than Engineer - Manager - Director - VP - SVP- EVP-CEO. IBM research has that kind of flat layering and seems to work well. Maybe we should do it everywhere.
