    I worked at IBM as an intern

    Pros

    A challenging project to work on;
    Support and guidance from other IBMers, if you ask for
    Self-paced training

    Cons

    Tons of related materials to shift through and absorb under time pressure;
    Long train commute to the office site from NYC, Better to have a car if living in the area
    Not so many face-to-face meetings with supervisors
    Changes happen all the time

    Excellent Training Ground, Limited future prospects for Millenials

    Pros

    Excellent training resources
    Hard working culture
    Strong commitment to ethical and professional behavior

    Cons

    Time consuming and complicated reporting processes.
    Low pay/raises compared to other IT companies.
    Death by a thousand metrics

    Advice to Management

    There should be more emphasis on the intangible value of producing quality work vs meeting irrelevant metrics.
