I have been working at IBM full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

- Talented people.
- Truthworthy.
- IBM culture and the people that are here are very consistent.
- Has breadth and depth in terms of industry sectors IBM operates in and range of work (services, software and hardware).
- You can leave a very well rounded person.
- Job security.

Cons

- Average pay and very average benefits.
- Poor bonus scheme.
- Experienced people are not valued. The technical experienced persons must become salesman or be ill treated and leave eventually.
- Struggle to communicate all the range of things going on across the company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Its the workers on the ground that actually generate revenue for IBM. We are primarily a people/brain power business. This is what we sell. They need to be managed far better in terms of end of year ratings, remuneration, bonus and benefits.

    Pros

    Working at number 1 in enterprise IT sector, joining ~400k IBMers community worldwide, acquiring an outstanding experience, very fast career growth is enabled

    Cons

    The company is huge overall with many processes implemented, which often makes decission making inflexible; some people find the job too much demanding and complain on salary

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Processes should be re-engineered and administrative effort reduced by suitable automation; the strategic 2015 EPS objective to be reconsidered

    Pros

    Goods offices, many open positions, cool and young peoples

    Cons

    no organisation and no help, everything is disorganized and outsourced, salaries are bad and there is more managers than people to do the job. They don t care about the quality the only important thing is the communication

    change the organisation and choose the quality !!!
