I worked at IBM full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

- Some very intelligent folks that will keep you on your toes.
- Challenging work that is engaging
- Professional culture, professional people, but still fun to go in to the lab to work

Cons

- Typical corporate redtape will be present
- Rating system encourages you to work with an underperforming team, or compete against your co-workers
- Global Resource business model isn't effective, but constantly pursued
