Pros

* Very collaborative environment: people all around the world no matter their 'rank' are willing to share their insights if needed.
* Huge amount of intellectual capital: frameworks, methodologies, project deliverables (GBS Practitioner Portal, Institute for Business Value)
* Strong brand
* Highly professional environment.

Cons

* very limited possibilities for international projects
* training in GBS could be better (compared to the rest of IBM)
* clear separation between GBS and the rest of IBM (cultural difference)
* high performers don't get sufficient recognition
* still strong focus on IT, less business consulting

Advice to Senior Management

By now, the outside world has understood that IBM doesn't sell no computers anymore. The next step is better position IBM as a strong Business/Management Consultancy: the experience and knowledge is there.
Keep a strong focus on training your consultants (and I don't mean via e-learnings).
Be more flexible towards international assignments.
